Zofia K. Rybkowski, Ph.D.

An Assistant Professor in the Department of Construction Science, Dr. Rybkowski is a hybrid professional, with degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Architecture, and Biology (as a Phi Beta Kappa scholar). She brings to the Institute experience in crossing traditional disciplines and making connections across business and educational arenas. 

Her experience as an architectural designer in Hong Kong, as well as her studies there under a Fulbright grant, demonstrate a dedication to understanding business and design in a global arena. Her research interests include innovation in construction management and financially as well as environmentally sustainable architecture and construction. Dr. Rybkowski has also contributed expertise in the area of "lean construction," the application of efficient management to construction projects, by a course she teaches, and by her service in reviewing for Lean Construction Journal, and for six annual conferences.
